The history dates back to about 5000 years old from ancient, medieval and modern history. Though there was different clans namely Malavas, Arjunyas, Yaudhyas, Kushans, Saka Satraps, Gupts and Hunas Rajasthan was under the stronghold of Rajput clans the warriors of India during 700 A.D. Mauryan Empire was also in parts. There was struggle betwen Chalukyas, Parmars and Chauhans for claiming superiority. During 1200 AD Rajasthan captured by Muslim rulers. Nagpur, Ajmer, Rathambore are under their clans. But Mughal power declined after 1707. Marathas set their foot and occupied Ajmer. Onslaught of Pidaris in 19th century also took place.Forts
